Why Peace Vans?

OFFICIAL MERCEDES PARTNER - QUALITY BUILD WITH ENDLESS SUPPORT

Peace Vans Seattle

Here’s a few reasons to consider Peace Vans for your Modern Camper Van project:

  • Mercedes Official Partner. Many companies are “Master Upfitters” - which is great and important - or lay claim to working with Mercedes in one fashion or another. But, when it came time to formally partner with a company and offer a product and brand through their official channels, Mercedes chose Peace Vans. One customer recently commented “I’m pretty sure Mercedes didn’t just flip a coin and pick you guys”. There are many benefits to working with us but being the endorsed brand for this segment is important. For example, if it ever comes time to sell - you have a “Peace Vans”, the official brand. Not an upfitter that may or may not exist when you need to sell.

  • Quality. Speak with us and we will be the first to admit that we are not the cheapest. Throughout the four years we have been pursuing this project there were multiple points where we could have cut costs and price, but the quality trade simply didn’t feel right. Working on 30+ year old VWs that have stood the test of time, gives us a high bar to meet and we feel a responsibility to do so. When you get in one of our vans - everything just looks right; no weird squared off boxes covered with ugly carpet, no random holes cut out of the side of the van, no shortcuts. period.

  • We are in this for the long haul. Our success has brought many “fast followers” into the market. We were the first to bring a Metris camper solution to the US Market and will be here for the duration

  • Support. With our partnership with Mercedes and Driverge, we will have almost a hundred retail locations around the US that will be able to provide basic warranty and service on your van.

  • History and Legacy. As the largest VW Camper repair shop in the US, we live and breath this lifestyle and segment every single day. We know the pros and cons of a small footprint camper van and will give you the honest perspective if we don’t think this is a good fit for you.

And, here’s a few things to think about if you’re considering another team for your conversion:

  • Pop Top. As far as we know, for the Metris, there are three tops. One is full crash tested and approved by Mercedes. One has had a small series of FMVSS tests run on it but - by far - not the full complement. One is a privately manufactured solution that we have no idea what sort of testing or certification has been done. Having seen all three of the tops, and been trained on install of two of them, we are confident the top we use is the safest and highest quality.

  • Interior. Be mindful of too many bells and whistles. These are small vehicles and effort to cram to much stuff can lead to shoddy workmanship and too many components to break

  • Rear Seat. Much like the pop top, there are multiple solutions for a rear seat. To our knowledge, our solution (product+instalion engineering), is the only solution that meets multiple FMVSS safety standards. Even if you see someone using our exact seat, rest assured we install it a different way and have made modifications to meet additional FMVSS safety standards.
