It’s a bit of a long story why something so popular and it high demand has a few vans “unsold”. Two reasons: First, when things got super busy with ordering this summer after the New York Times article, we got a bit nervous about having made a mistake or having promised a van to someone so we deliberately held some back - we now know we have these vans truly for sale. Second, our local dealer ran an experiment with us where we built some vans for them for them to resell off their showroom floor. We ended up pre-selling all of those but held 2 back to experiment with selling them on the floor. Because they were “Sold” to the dealer, they weren’t the highest priority for us. But they are now sitting at the dealer “ready to drive away” today (unless you want us to add an option or two, in which case they are ready to drive a way in a week or two).
